In 1958, Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church started a weekday mission outreach to young children in our community. From its beginning as a small kindergarten class, the program has grown into a significant care center for children.

In 1991, the church began a Summer Camp and After School Program. Our goal has been to provide a safe and enriching Christian environment where children are engaged in activities which are both educational and fun.

The Center has received an outstanding reputation in the city of Wilmington and has proven to be an excellent outreach of our church’s mission as well as an avenue of evangelism to parents.

Preschool Kindergarten Preschool Day Care	After School Care Summer Day Care

The Preschool program accommodates children ages 2 through 5 (including kindergarten and child care). The After School Care program accommodates children in public kindergarten through fifth grades. The Summer Child care accommodates children ages 3 through fifth grades

ATTENTION PARENTS OF RISING 6TH GRADE STUDENTS NEWS FROM WESLEY AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Wesley After School Program would like to expand our program to include 6th grade students from: Roland Grise Middle School, Myrtle Grove Middle School and Cape Fear Center for Inquiry Charter School for the 2009-2010 school year.

Admission Requirements

Wesley Memorial Child Education Center accepts all children regardless of sex, race, religion, or national origin. Registration forms are available in Mrs. Spencer’s or Mrs. Steigerwald's offices for all programs. Registration begins in January for the following year. However, children may be enrolled throughout the year as space permits. Parents may phone the office for more information or to schedule an appointment to visit the Center.

Our leaders seek to create an atmosphere where children can achieve and experience success.
