Welcome to the children’s ministries of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Our mission here at Wesley is to attempt to lay down a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We want each child that crosses our path to experience God’s awesome love through many activities that reach all age levels and ways of learning. If you’re looking for a warm, safe, and loving environment where your child can get to know God, please join us each Sunday morning for Sunday School from 9:45 - 10:45 in our main educational building. Check out Sunday mornings, and then branch out into our other programs for children. ---Leslie Key, Children’s Minister SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES FOR CHILDREN HAVE JUST BEGUN FOR OUR NEW YEAR! If you’ve been out of town and missed Promotion Sunday, it’s not too late!!! Come this Sunday, July 13th and meet some new friends and learn about God! I want to thank our teachers who served in our classes last year. They were Joyce Burris, Mae Spencer, Allison Troutman, Bree Wakefield, Sharon Meizen, Deborah Barefoot, Andrea Kite, Mary Palmer, Lisa Barrasso, Jan Tingle, David & Belinda Bagnal, Kimberly Cockrell, Melinda Hall, Lee Porter, Danny & Nora McKeown, Dan & Amy Morton, Debra Bartlett. You guys are awesome and you touched many, many hearts for Christ! Thanks for sharing God’s Word with the children of Wesley!!
ART-IS-IN MUSIC CAMP IS COMING IN 3 WEEKS!! We still have room for more kids, so please register NOW! After July 21st the cost increases to $85. Dates are July 28-August 1 for all kids who completed 1st-6th grades in June. The cost is $75 for the week per camper. It will take place at Winter Park Baptist Church and times each day are 9:00 am -3:00 pm. This camp uses high energy music, relevant drama, visual and technical arts, dance, movement, sign language, and percussion skills as they all participate to perform a Broadway style musical on the final night! Sign-up by picking up a registration form in the church office or in the children’s areas at church.Check out their website at www.frickandfrackmusic.com NC UNITED METHODIST CAMP MINISTRIES has many, many camp opportunities for kids and families this summer, 2008. There are brochures around the church or go to www.ncumcamps.org For more information, call Leslie Key at 791-4092. On-Going Activities Sunday Schools are for children age 2 - 5th grade. They meet each Sunday from 9:45 - 10:45am in our educational building. Classes are determined by age and grade. Our curriculums follow the Christian year, as children learn Bible stories and learn about special events in our church life. This time is also used for family events at special times during the year. Children’s Choirs run from August to April and include children ages 3 through 5th grade. Choirs meet each Sunday evening from 6:00 - 6:45 pm. NEW!! Cherub Choir 2 & 3 yr olds meet in room 9, Praise Pals (ages 3 - K) meet in Room 8 and Ultimate Praise (grades 1and 2) meet in the Choir Room along with the Extreme Praise choir (grades 3-5). Children learn through music and song to praise our loving God. Our leaders seek to create an atmosphere where children can achieve and experience success.
