Evangelism is, at its heart, sharing faith with others -- particularly with those who are unchurched -- and inviting them into faith in Jesus Christ and membership in the church. Yet, this is only the beginning of the Christian life. Persons with responsibilities in evangelism must continue to plan and offer to all people opportunities that will provide nurture so they can become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Committee Charge
The Evangelism committee at Wesley Memorial UMC has both an external and an internal focus:

Therefore, the Evangelism Committee must be a unique group that serves in a highly flexible, “as needed, where needed” basis to assist people in developing a relationship with God and living as Christian disciples. These activities will primarily, but not exclusively, consist of developing and preparing short/medium term projects and activities. Accordingly, the committee will work closely with and serve under the guidance of the Wesley Memorial UMC staff.
